Autumn leaves and winter trees

We are right in the middle of winter, but I only finished my leaves painting this week-end.

… then you remember how beautiful it was

but the winter trees are beautiful too… they just ask for pen sketches.

Autumn in black ink

Here in France, autumn is just beautiful. At first I was searching for yellow and orange spots, now that is all you see. Autumn colours with a bit of green in between.
To say these are autumn sketches won’t make much sense. : ) Surely you need the colours! But they are… maybe I must do a painting as well.

Keeping up with a sketch a week…

To make a commitment to create a sketch every week has a positive side and a negative side.
It does get you to draw more, but then just once  : )  you fall behind and that’s where the negative part comes in.. You then do something quickly just to do… and end up with little sketches like the next two. I almost didn’t post them, but now they sit in my journal, so why not? They have their place there in these weeks of September, so who am I to tell them they’re not good enough for the blog…
